THE NEW AGE OF SOCIAL ACTION. SOCIAL WORK BEFORE THE CHALLENGES OF THE HUMAN DEVELOPMENT

At the beginning of XXI century, we observed a hatching, as explanatory paradigm and as an ethics imperative, of an emerging social issue which in these pages, it refers to as "integral human development" and it seems to determine a different historical time. Within this article, it is provided a conception of it, from the perspective of Social Work as technical and professional institutionalization of Social Action and as an instrument of social Policy intervention. Thus, it is referred to a "new era of Social Action" which exceeds theoretical and methodological conventions of traditional Euro-centric models.
