摘要
Using the generalized Lorentz force, the electromagnetic interactions between a charged, current-bearing superconducting cosmic string and (1) a magnetic monopole and (2) a dyon are investigated by obtaining numerical solutions to the equations of motion. It is found that a monopole is scattered in a nontrivial way, but not captured, by the noncentral force, while the dyon can assume a peculiar type of orbit localized near the string.
