摘要：

Severe cytomegalovirus infection in immunocompetent patients is unusual with colitis being its Main manifestation. It occurs predominantly in elderly patients with high burden of co-morbidities. A case of a woman with acute heart failure and coronary heart disease who had lower gastrointestinal bleeding due to cytomegalovirus colitis in the absence of apparent immunosuppression is presented.
