摘要：

The Research Department at the State University of Milagro (UNEMI) made a socioeconomic study to define the undergraduate careers needed in our region to continue supplying, eliminating or creating others because of demands of the secondary students and firms demands. Far this purpose, we take 19 jurisdictions in 5 provinces nearer to UNEMI and we work with our university students, too. We used surveys to them and the data analysis was made with a computer system designed to just this purpose. The results indicate a strong preference far traditional careers and some others related to agribusiness. A second preference far technical and short cycle careers was found here, too. Finally, we recommend UNEMI to open areas like research and arts.
