The author expressed that after the Triumph of the Revolution in 1959, in Cuba this manifestation was developed inside the plastic arts and at the moment it constitutes a significant edge in the culture of the region. The objective of the article aims at giving an approach to the colografia, as a creative and essential component inside the engraving. It is also approached as a technique that today is practiced by artists of Holin province and the whole country. For the development of this article, was necessary to apply some research methods of theoretical character, such as: analysis and synthesis, the historical-logical one and the induction-deduction, as well as those of empiric character: interviews and observation. The colografia is already history inside the Cuban artistic and plastic context. Therefore, its inclusion or not in the art encyclopedias must be analysed.
