摘要：

This work is supported by the French School of Discourse Analysis, understood as a theoretical and analytical approach through which we ponde about the practice of a survey/mapping on the production of journalistic essays published by the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper. Considering both the Brazilian culture and the literature present in selected essays between 2010 and 2011, we will turn our attention to the processes of formulation, constitution and circulation of significations in the Ilustrissima supplement, in an attempt to understand the designation process in which essays are titled. Furthermore, we intend to examine how the production of reader-effects and textuality-effects of essays published amid the contradiction between democratization and elitization of culture.
