Preparation and properties of the new compounds FC(O)SBr, SBrF, ClC(O)SBr, FC(O)SNSO, ClC(O)SNSO, ClC(O)SSC(O)F, BrC(O)SSC(O)F, FC(O)SSCH3, and FC(O)SSSC(O)F are described. They are characterized by IR-, NMR-, MS-, UV-spectra and by micro analysis. Metathesis between FC(O)SCl and (CH3)3SiBr provides FC(O)SBr, which on photolysis in an Argon matrix is converted to SBrF identified by IR-spectroscopical methods. Three methods for the preparation of ClC(O)SBr are applicable: Reaction of FC(O)SBr with BCl3 and ClC(O)SCl with BBr3 or (CH3)3SiBr respectively. Reactions of FC(O)SCl or ClC(O)SCl with (CH3)3SiNSO provide FC(O)SNSO and ClC(O)SNSO. Partial halogenation of FC(O)SSC(O)F by BCl3 or BBr3 leads to ClC(O)SSC(O)F and BrC(O)SSC(O)F and condensation of FC(O)SCl with CF3SH or H2S gives FC(O)SSCH3 and FC(O)SSSC(O)F.
