摘要
The authors consider the possibilities of using speed asymmetry, i. e. rotation of the work rolls at different speeds, as an alternative to automatic thickness and profile control systems on a 3600 plate mill. A strip plasticity control system (SPCS) based on the effect of speed asymmetry has been developed and its advantages over traditional control systems are discussed. The SPCS is shown to be an economic and efficient way of producing plates of the desired accuracy and flatness.
