摘要
The finite-element method has been used to predict the modal properties of free-free FRP plates, and the predictions were verified experimentally. Results are presented for materials for which little dynamic data have yet been available, including the thermoplastic matrix material PEEK. Also, it is shown how using improved experimental techniques can lead to closer theoretical and experimental damping results.
