摘要
The main objective of this study was to explore the happiness of people over 65 years, and the relationship that involvement in physical activity may have some psychosocial factors related to it. 108 participants over 65 years completed a sociodemographic questionnaire, the Physical Activity Scale of the STEPS 2.1 Battery (WHO, 2012) and the Scale of Happiness (Godoy and Godoy -Izquierdo, 2006). The results have shown a positive relationship between physical activity and happiness, being happier those who performed more physical activity in their daily lives; additionally, a protective role of physical activity in the future happiness of practitioners is proposed. Furthermore, it is concluded that the amount of physical activity directly influences the perceived importance of factors such as interpersonal relationships, self-concept or personal independence in the happiness of those over 65.
