RAMAN-SCATTERING FROM PHONONS IN YNI2B2C

摘要
We report polarized micro-Raman spectra of YNi2B2C at room temperature. The sample used in the Raman experiment was well characterized by x-ray powder diffraction and ac magnetic susceptibility measurements (Tc14.5 K). For YNi2B2C, there are only four Raman phonons allowed by symmetry and we have identified them at 198 cm-1 (Ni-B1g), 282 cm-1 (Ni-Eg), 470 cm-1 (B-Eg), and 832 cm-1 (B-A1g). © 1994 The American Physical Society.
