摘要
Recent breakthroughs in biotechnology have made the possibility of intervening in the production of living organisms through the manipulation of genetic material a conceivable notion. However, this capacity raises controversial issues that have vast social implications. Whether it is through the use of stem cells or GMOs, modern biology raises acute questions in line with the ethical quandaries hidden at its core. What do biology teachers have to say about these issues? This article presents the results of biographical interviews conducted with six biology teachers, who during the interviews described their relationship with living things. The results suggest that teachers are interested in these types of questions and that they do address them in various ways, despite certain constraints they encounter (curriculum-based, in particular).
