LANDSCAPE: A PROSE OF THE WORLD AT MERLEAU-PONTY

This work aims to carry out a recapture of the original concept of landscape, linked to the aesthetics of art. Thus, supported by the approach of philosophers, geographers and other social scientists, the idea of landscape is related to the indirect language present in pictorial art. Merleau-Ponty's work, comprising indirect language - which is itself the expression of pictorial art was used as the foundation for this understanding, for it is through it that is intended the demonstration as to how much can landscape represent, beyond its concrete form, a subjective reading into the world.
