摘要
We propose a model for managing the senior executive teams of the joint ventures (JVs), under the perspective of human resources management. Because of the particular problems posed by the typical nature of these teams and the characteristics of JVs, it is necessary to combine the approaches of control, the management of diversity and knowledge management in different ways depending on the stage of development reached by the JV. Two significant conclusions are drawn. First, the establishment of particular human resource management practices contributes to reducing the agency problem and relational conflict in the executive team, thus making it more effective. Second, when these practices are designed and implemented in a differentiated way in function of the stage of organisational development, this contributes to the achievement of the objectives for which the JV was constituted.
