Analysis of the conceptions of the students of Early Childhood Education on the family

摘要
In this exploratory work, we have investigated the concept of family in 118 children aged four and five years, with the aim of knowing the students ideas in Early Childhood Education on this issue. The data has been collected through an interview to each student, a drawing of their family and the information available at the school about their family situation. The data processing was done with SPSS. We considered two independent variables: the student's age and sex. The results indicate that the child represents better their family with the picture that orally in the interview. There are not significant differences according to sex of the child. But there are significant differences according from the age of five years, required the best family reality, which is consistent with their greater maturity. The most students do not respond correctly to questions about what constitutes a family, neither, they do not reflected in the pattern or know of other families. Their experience is limited to their own immediate environment. The children family concept is based mainly on the idea of the house and is together. Students have large gaps on this subject.
