摘要
A local model for short cosmic gamma-bursts is proposed. The model implies that sources of gamma-bursts are comets in the solar system that are located at distances ranging from 10 to 1000 AU. The model accounts for the observed features of gamma-bursts as well as the mechanism of their origin. Some experimental tests of the model are proposed. The mean luminosity of a cometary gamma-burst is of about 10(21) erg s-1.
