摘要
A review is presented of the experiential evidence for a model of fatty acid metabolism in heart and skeletal muscle. The model now seems to be that plasma free fatty acids are taken up by myocardial and skeletal muscle, esterified to triglycerides, and incorporated in lipid granules. Fatty acids released by hydrolysis of these triglycerides are the major immediate substrate for oxidation by the myocardium and by the skeletal muscle, at rest and during exercise.
