摘要
The Critique of Pure Reason has a purpose which is stated from the beginning. This purpose is the founding of metaphysics as a science. In this search, one of the elements that will help Kant to prove the possibility or impossibility of this purpose is experience, which is at the center of the new philosophical reflection of modernity. The author of the Critique establishes the new meaning of experience by stating that, although all knowledge starts with it, not all comes from it. On the one hand, experience will be a criterion to demonstrate the objectivity of knowledge, and on the other hand, the pure conditions on which experience depends will be established, so that it does not become reduced to something contingent and relative. Thus, from the necessity of transforming the method of metaphysics in the same way as others areas of knowledge did, such as logics, mathematics and physics, Kant proposes the Copernican revolution, in order to find the certain path of science. In that search for a new method for metaphysics, Kant will develop one of his first considerations about experience, which will work as a starting point to develop his other ideas about it.
