摘要
This article has as objective the study of the historical and ideological background of the Cuban Revolution. Without understanding this background it would be very difficult until now to understand the revolutionary transformations of Cuba from 1959. A central component of the ideological discourse of the Revolution was Jose Marti's political ideas, a philosopher and hero from the war for independence. The Movement from 26th of July continued and finished the democratic, popular and national Revolution that Jose Marti started. The M.26.J declared from the beginning that it was not sufficient to destroy the dictatorship, but it was necessary to create a new political system and a new society.
