The reactions 32S(n, d)31P and 34S(n, d)33P have been examined at En = 14 MeV for Ed = 2-8 MeV and θ = 9°-43° with thin, isotopically enriched targets and a two-pulse system of deuteron selection. Total and/or differential cross sections and absolute spectroscopic factors from DWBA analysis are reported for transitions to both ground states and to the excited states of 31P at 1.27 and 2.23 MeV. No evidence was found for a state of 31P at 0.45 MeV reported in an earlier study of the 32S(n, d)31P reaction. © 1968.
