摘要：

Amantadine is probably most effective when used early in the disease, but patients at a more advanced stage may also benefit. It is effective as monotherapy as well as in combination with levodopa. It has been suggested that amantadine may be neuroprotective. Available for intravenous as well as oral administration. Visual hallucinations and confusion can be observed.
