摘要：
This text aims to present a case of a multinational company that acts in construction and furniture markets. For three years ago the company had implemented an area of portfolio project management with objective of using strategic criteria to select project that contributes with technologic development of the company. The methodology of this study was grounded in Castro and Carvalho theoretical reference for analyze the implementation process and the tools used by portfolio management. The results of this implementation contributed to the selection of technological development projects and increased the company's competitiveness that became one of leaders of the segment.
