PUBLIC POLICIES AND SPORTS ACTIONS FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES IN THE PARANA STATE

This study aims to analyze the public policies and / or actions developed by the State Sports Department of the State of Parana for sports for people with disabilities. Our research chose to select files that presented the data referring to two actions developed in the State of Parana through its secretary. The selected actions were the Parana Olympic Talent Program (TOP2016) and the Parana Paradesportivos Open Games (PARAJAPs). The choice was due to the fact that these programs were developed and that somehow contributed to the paradesportivo movement in the state. The TOP2016 offers handbags for disabled and non-disabled athletes divided into various levels and values, PARAJAPs is the state competition aimed at disabled athletes who are already at a more specific level of training. Both actions are important for the development of paradesport in the state of Parana, however, new actions should be considered in order to contribute even more to the development of the paradesportivo movement in the state of Parana.
