A textbook example of the dynamic Jahn–Teller effect is provided by the Jahn‐Teller components of the v6 mode of the benzene cation. They were resolved to the rotational level for the first time by zero kinetic energy (ZEKE) photoelectron spectroscopy. The picture on the right shows the ZEKE spec‐trum of the 61(j= ± 1/2) band of the electronic ground state of the benzene cation via the intermediate state S1 61(J′ =1, K′ =1, +l). (Figure Presented.)
