摘要：
A liquid phase, direct reduction process for hot metal developed and applied on an industrial scale is described and results obtained are considered. The process, which has ecological advantages for the steel industry, is implemented in a single stage continuous plant with a gas agitated slag bath requiring no agglomeration or concentration of the ferruginous feed and uses steam coal. The plant can also be used as a producer of reducing or fuel gas.
