摘要
This paper analyses the relationship between perceptions of the impact of an event, the perceived value of the event and the satisfaction with the event, for residents of the metropolitan area of the host city for the 32nd America's Cup. The sample for the empirical research consists of 258 residents. By analysing the psychometric properties of the measuring instruments as well as the application of the principal components analysis and Baron and Kenny's regression analysis with mediation we find: (1) the multidimensional nature of the perceived impacts (positive and negative); (2) the direct and inverse effect of perceptions on perceived value; (3) the mediating role of perceived value of the event on the effect of event impacts on resident satisfaction in the metropolitan area of the city of Valencia.
