NUMERICAL-CALCULATION OF THE GAIN OF A FREE-ELECTRON LASER, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE MODULATION OF PARAMETERS OF AN ELECTRON-BEAM IN ITS INJECTION INTO THE LASER

摘要
An interaction between the beam and the inhomogeneous wave in a free-electron laser has been investigated for the case of electron injection into the laser by means of a bending magnet. It is shown that with the variation of the distance between the bending magnet and the undulator the gain of a free-electron laser oscillates.
