CARBIDE PRECIPITATION IN CHROMIUM STEELS

摘要
This paper reports some recent results on the precipitation of carbides in a few chromium containing steels at relatively high temperatures. Atom probe microanalysis and transmission electron microscopy were used to characterise the microstructure of high speed steels M2 and T1 after overaging at 600-degrees-C and a powder metallurgical 12% chromium steel after heat treatment at 750-degrees-C and subsequent creep testing at 600-degrees-C.
