摘要
Within the diverse universe of internationally minded schools there is currently much momentum behind the creation of some form of 'alliance'. Although the movement behind this can he traced back to the early 1990s, this article proposes that the current momentum can be largely understood within a fundamental paradigm shift emerging within education generally, towards greater collaboration, networking and partnership. This arguably gives the 'alliance' project a much greater deal of legitimacy than has previously been implied. At the same time, a further set of complex factors can be identified within the universe of internationally minded schools.
