摘要
The Environmental Education presents itself as an educative proposal, that aims the change of habits, attitudes and social practices, pointing to a solution for the social-environmental degradation that characterizes the contemporary society. The Environmental Education, therefore, demands new pedagogical proposals, which have to be strong enough to face the environmental challenges, new proposals such as, the teaching and research method called :"The Study of the Environment". This method represents a methodological possibility which allows to surpass the partitioning of knowledge, as well as, to bring to light the complex relationship between society and the environment. The guideline principles of the " Study of the Environment Method" are the following: the research interdiciplinarity, the need for a space and time witness survey, data collection together with human and space information, exchange of perceptions and reflections and the collective construction of knowledge.
