摘要：
The object of this study is to formulate a legal concept of citizenship. The analysis starts with the examination of the state of the matter in the manuals of Constitutional Law, followed by the investigation of the historical trajectory of citizenship, since the classical antiquity until the contemporary, having Brazil in the discussion and culminating in the study of the current Brazilian constitutional-legal system.
