摘要
Unicompartmental knee arthroplasty is an option for patients with osteoarthritis affecting a single compartment of the knee. Proponents cite the preservation of the knee ligaments as well as native bone stock as an advantage of the procedure. Detractors cite a higher revision rate demonstrated in previous studies and registry data. This review paper looks at recent studies that explore survivorship, clinical outcomes, and patient satisfaction in addition to recent advancements in implant design and instrumentation in unicompartmental knee arthroplasty.
