摘要
The polymerization of acrylonitrile initiated by a new redox couple, Cerium(IV)-poly(ethylene glycol) [PEG, molecular weight 6000] in aqueous sulphuric acid medium at 50-degrees-C has been studied. The precipitated polymer which is a block copolymer of PEG and poly(acrylonitrile) has been characterized by means of FT-IR, H-1 NMR and Light Scattering measurements. The thermal behaviour of the polymer has been studied using DSC and TGA.
