摘要
In mid- to high-latitude and mountainous regions, snowfall may exceed melting and hence a layer of snow accumulates every year. The multilayer snow accumulations can acquire immense sizes which hamper the geological and geophysical observations. The snowpack undergoes several changes with time in response to changes in weather conditions. In the present paper, theoretical brightness temperatures based on non-coherent approach have been calculated for various multilayered snow models and compared with the experimental data in order to relate the morphology of snowpacks to passive-microwave responses.
