摘要
Valsalva's life as anatomist, physician, and surgeon of the late XVIIth century is surveyed. The second edition of the "Morgagni" version of Valsalva's Treatise on the Human Ear, published in 1741, is considered in relation to the work of his predecessors, the scientific milieu of his time, and his influence on the development of modern otology. © 1990.
