British Nuclear Fuels has embarked on a massive, POUND 2000 million investment program for the 1980s to upgrade existing facilities and provide new facilities for the future reprocessing at Sellafield of Magnox and oxide fuels. Within this program, 'Project B' comprises POUND 360 million of work geared to increasing the storage capacity and reprocessing throughput of spent Magnox fuel, and to increasing the storage capacity for spent commercial AGR fuel.
