摘要：

The field of point-of-care testing has expanded considerably during the past year including both technological advances in instrumentation and utilization of point-of-care testing. Literature published in 2005 on any aspect of point-of-care testing was reviewed. This article summarizes the most important findings in the fields of diabetes, coagulation, cardiac markers, infectious disease, and toxicology, as well as newer areas such as gynecology.
