摘要
In Brazilian Contemporary Literature there have been two unique pieces where genre and race appear as fundamental elements in the plot. A cor do preconceito e Poncia Vicencio represent texts where the main characters (re) build their identities as from their socio-geographical movement throughout the narrative. Their life-stories lead characters to an inner loss or to a reinvention of their selves: opposite sides broughtinto the scene by their experience of displacement.
