A 2-year field study was conducted during the winters of 1988-89 and 1989-90 on sandy-loam soil to study phosphorus and potassium requirement of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) and mustard [Brassica juncea (L.) Czernj. & Cosson) in association. The potato + mustard intercropping system removed significantly higher amounts of N, P and K than their sole stands. Sole potato removed significantly large quantities of these nutrients than sole mustard during both the years.
