摘要
We report a case of a 76-year-old man who underwent cardiac catheterization. Coronary angiography not only showed a coronary artery stenosis but also an unexpected and unclear structure nearby the heart. Those incidental findings during cardiac catheterization are seldom. Nevertheless, once detected, they require further examination to reach a diagnosis. Some of those diagnostic tools might implicate invasive procedures culminating in operative explorations. Undoubtedly, the perioperative risk is higher in patients receiving dual antiplatelet therapy. Therefore, if justifiable, it seems to be preferable to delay coronary intervention until incidental findings are finally diagnosed.
