摘要
After September 11th and due to the Golden Age of television fiction, war representation on TV series appears interesting for scholars. War World II, War of Irak and the "War on Terror" are the main plots in many prestigious TV shows. This article aims to deepen into the relation between television fiction and History studying the representation of the war and its impact on the creation of social traumas. Two television series will be analyzed, Band of Brothers (HBO, 2001) and Generation Kill (HBO, 2008). This study will be focused on three vectors: political-historical conflict, role of United States in this war and the psychological impact of this war on the main characters.
