摘要
For seedling production seeks to minimize the time that they remain in the nursery and factors such as temperature, substrate moisture, germination and seed position in the planting can contribute to the extension of time thereby increasing production costs. Thus aimed to evaluate the influence of the seed at sowing of jatropha (Jatropha curcas L.) on the process of emergence and seedling vigor. Thus, the treatments in a randomized design and consisted of 5 positions sowing with four replications of 25 seeds, were: caruncle positioned upward caruncle positioned down raphe positioned upward raphe positioned down and raphe positioned to the side. We evaluated the percentage of seedling emergence at 21 days after sowing, the average time of emergency, the dry mass of roots and shoots of seedlings. The positions of theseed affect the rate of emergence of jatropha. Seeds with the raphe down has the best performance during the emergency. The seeds sown in the raphe and raphe up to the side inhibiting the process of emergency.
