Contexts of Causal Discovery

I distinguish two notions of the "context of discovery". The traditional notion opposes it to the context of justification but another, more recent, notion relates it to the methodology of causal inference. Reichenbach himself seems to have subscribed the more recent notion and, not surprisingly, his contribution to the field of causal discovery has been paramount. I defend the applicability of the methodology of causal discovery to all empirical sciences, including the physical sciences.
