摘要
Nuclear 2C DNA content of eighteen race stocks (accessions) of cotton, Gossypium hirsutum L., from the National Collection of Gossypium Germplasm was determined by flow cytometry of isolated nuclei stained with propidium iodide. The mean DNA content of the accessions is 5.74 picograms +/- S.E. = 0.06. Significant variation in mean DNA content from 5.08 pg to 6.05 pg or 19% was found among the accessions (p = < 0.01).
