摘要
Sinergia, an Expert System for the isolation and diagnosis of faults in the Italian Telecommunications Network, is presented. Unlike most diagnostic Expert Systems, Sinergia works in real time providing fault diagnosis in a dynamic context, while the anomaly signals are continuously received. Sinergia interfaces to various Operation Support Systems on the Italian Telecommunications network which are treated as Agents, and loads the network configuration incrementally on a demand basis from the corporate Data Base. At present the fault diagnosis activity is carried out by maintenance experts faced with huge amount of data to analyze; the introduction of Sinergia has cut the data presented to the operator of more than one order of magnitude.
