SPECTRAL INTERFERENCE RELATED TO THE PRESENCE OF NITRATE AND NITROGEN MONOOXIDE IN ZEEMAN-CORRECTED ATOMIC-ABSORPTION SPECTROMETRY WITH ELECTROTHERMAL ATOMIZATION

摘要
A new molecular interference in Zeeman-corrected atomic absorption spectrometry with electrothermal atomization is reported. In the graphite furnace the decomposition of metallic nitrates induces for Se (196.0 nm) an under-compensation and for Se (204.0 nm) and Zn (213.9 nm) an over-compensation. This interference is attributed to the presence of NO in the reducing atmosphere of the furnace and has to be eliminated before the analysis.
