摘要
The microstructure of a commercial Nd-Fe-B-based magnet containing aluminium and vanadium is investigated by transmission electron microscopy. Two kinds of mu (Nd-Fe-Al) precipitates are identified: thin platelets along Phi-phase grain boundaries, and thicker lamellae inside the triple junction Nd-rich phase. The morphology of the mu phase and its solidification mechanism are shown to be similar in the magnet and in ternary Nd-Fe-Al alloys. However, a structural modification of the mu phase takes place in the magnet in comparison with the ternary alloys.
