Extraction conditions are optimized for a method to sample indoor airborne polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and extract them by supercritical fluid extraction. Spiked PAHs are extracted from XAD-2 (styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer) using modified supercritical CO2 Also, a sampler is constructed whose design allows the extraction of sampled matrices by supercritical fluid extraction. The sampler and the extraction procedure of the sampled matrices are evaluated. © 1995, Oxford University Press.
