摘要
There ir a continuing need for gas turbine engines with improved durability and performance. Of all the technologies contributing to future gas turbines, advanced materials, such as nanostructured materials, are expected to provide more than 50% of the required improvements. Nanostructured materials are required with improved strength, toughness and temperature capabilities. The enhanced plasticity and diffusivity of nanostructured material con also serve to facilitate the fabrication of complex materials and structures. This paper describes a procedure for the aggressive research and development of nanostructured materials.
