摘要
The article reviews the political antecedents and tradition in colonial Spanish America as the preamble of autonomous political thinking in the region. It analyzes the framework of political and social emancipation of the thirteen American colonies, and the specific context that characterized Latin American independence. Special attention is given to the juncture of the crisis of the Spanish monarchy during the French invasion of the peninsula and the political reaction of Spanish-American cities.
